STEADY FREDDY

Hey Friends,

We had another steady day of business at the herring. I guess I made a little bit of a slip up with giving out some information about our financial situation, so I'm going to post a message Chad wrote to all of the members of "save the red herring" group on facebook to clear that up.

Bryce is playing with someones cell phone. If you have lost your cell phone come in and get it, there are going to be some new pictures saved to it, sorry about that, I can't stop him.

Ok, read the message below if you haven't yet.

Love you all,
-ALLLLLLLY

1. Update

Everybody thank you thank you thank you!. Thanks to everyone that made an effort to get people in today! thank you so much everybody that came in today! I made tons of food this morning, and I thought that I had it covered for the largest amount of people I could have expected, and I was WAY wrong. I have never seen so many people in there for lunch before! Please understand that we spent all day in shock, attempting to keep it up with a line that seemed to never end. from this day forward I promise that We will never run out of food like that as long as I am the manager. That's a big one. I could have made at least one backup entree, but We made a jump from a line of 15 to a line that went around the whole dining room, and quite frankly I'm just glad that I made enough to support half of it reasonably.... There's no way I could have expected that, and with three days to reach my goal I was weary of spending the money to be ready for that. It could of made or broken us!

On that note, Today, including a catering order made by a wonderful gentleman, I am pleased to report that We reached 1000$ in one day. we did it right? wrong! I'm SUPER pleased with this, but at the same time ALL that this means is that We now have food. well, We will have food, when I can order it. So anything from thursday and friday (which is all you can eat soup day by the way) Goes towards quality. Not only will I buy the lentils I planned on buying, I will purchase some things that you will enjoy as well.Hows about something a little better than lentils, like tofu for example, or ice cream or WHATEVER. It takes that thousand to get staples. Now I'm going to step it up a notch or scream BAM! so to speak. how about soup in a to go container, not just a coffee cup with plastic wrap. Hows about you tell me before the 28th WHAT YOU WANT. ice cream? Spanikopita? Quiche? If you tell me now your reward will be satisfaction, And who doesn't love satisfaction?

NEW GOALS! Today we met our goal of 1000$ to make a food purchase, while leaving money for payroll. YEAH! The next goal is utilities. Yeah I know, we use electricity, and gas, and pest control, and we have a phone, and sometimes we use water. Its kinda crazy, but If I could cook with a campfire I would. I mean, that would be rad. un-realistic, but rad.We OWE 3700$ for our inability to pay our utilities and other stuff as well of course. My goal, is to keep you all coming in because I love seeing your beautiful faces. We still need donations, we still need support, we still need volunteers more than we have in a long time, but mainly we need your business. We need to pay back our loans and end the school year with at LEAST 2000 dollars towards opening up next school year. I'm Thinking of the prospect of a savings account or SOMETHING, so that you can donate towards immediate operations, OR reopening costs.
